About the " new player " apartments

I found an issue where a couple of people are basing in an apartment complex, and the door says it's owned by a new player. Sure, that's definitely reasonable, I wouldn't dare to ruin a new players' experience by raiding them, and it's not even allowed.

But the thing I saw a while back is that a " new player " or two bought an apartment, then let in some experienced players knowing that they would be safe from raids; pretty much taking advantage of the fact that you're not allowed to raid new players and base there without the fear of this.

With " experienced players " I mean those that already have a decent mid-end car, clothing of 30-50k+, and enough money to be stable in the server. This doesn't need to mean that they've played on the server for months or years.

I want to hear other people's thoughts about this, cause it really stunned me no one really spoke about it.

Players are not allowed to ase with new players with the sole intention of receiving the "new player immunity" from them. However, if they are friends or in the same org that is totally fine. Furthermore, you are allowed to raid new players, but you should not target them or impact them excessively. If you've seen that they have already been raided once or twice already, best not to do it again. The common-sense rule applies to everything new player-related, don't abuse the treatment of new players and don't harass new players by raiding them nonstop; let them learn and get experienced in the server for a bit!

Unpopular opinion: There's no such thing as "new player immunity" and anyone whos basing and growing drugs should expect to be raided by other players.

A lot of people leave the " new player " doors alone though. Majority of the people I've raided with just don't bother cause it can be a bit of a sensitive thing, you know?

Just raid every house that you see as the "New Player" is kind of a metagame as it changes a players decisions with OOC information :)

Let's be honest, this is just a thing done because someone thinks new players has a hard time getting into the server and that's why the playerbase is dropping while the actual reason is because the rules have changed due to a streamer and players don't find comfortable playing anymore since they can't do shit without getting told off.

We also have players getting warned for bullshit reasons, such as them being "gunpointed" when they're actually not.

To be honest, the "starter" packs players got were great and they were enough. This just looks... idk? DarkRP?

thats pog and all, but suggest a single thing that can be done that doesn't involve shooting or growing in order to make any amount of money on the server

@thehomelessdude like you guys don't have enough money to do some actual roleplay, cause roleplay is cheap it costs next to nothing. You don't need a supercar or one mil in your bank for it.

@John Daymon The streamer stuff was stupid. They changed so much to do with the server due to a single streamer that doesn't even play. Nor did he do anything for the actual server, The funnier part is where he complained about the 1.2 rule but has "pro shit talker" in his bio. I agreed on helping the new sweaters by giving them a few guns ETC since it decently hard to get guns and that type of stuff. And for the rules you hit the nail on the head. One minute that are banning with extreme lengths of time to giving 1 day bans for massive rule breaks. I really do not see many things changing any time soon.

@walnash I'd like to imagine he makes attempts, but manages to fall down the staircase of slums, crippling himself and bleed out walking across the intersection to hospital because he forgot to bring bandages.

I'd say it's a contributing factor, seeing as your speech is no longer as free as it used to be. I know I stopped playing when 1.2 was extremely strict about calling someone a retard, which I do frequently when someone does something really dumb. I almost never say the N word myself, so it's hardly affected me tbh. But I definitely feel that general insults should be left alone, and that discriminatory language should be made enforceable if people ask for you to stop, instead of an instant ban.

@Exnem That is how 1.2 works at the moment. I don’t know why anyone thinks otherwise. No one has been “instantly banned” for saying anything.
