@curak ok give a suggestion, because it seems like you talk a lot, but you never give a solution to the problem. If you want a change do something about it, make a suggestion, make a fucking RP situation yourself instead of joining 2 times a week and being useless the whole time

@Exnem I fully agree general insults should be left alone as they now currently are under 1.2. However, calling someone the N-word is still against the rules as it really should be I wouldn't say that it makes speech less-free at all and at the end of the day if you cannot handle not saying the N-word or calling someone a f*g for a couple of hours a day someone is on the server that sounds like they are the problem not the fault of the server.

@curak tbh @Jenga tried multiple times setting up street shops along with gunshops on the highway (cornered off and done realistically) This was instantly stopped by the PD. If anything PD ruins alot of RP.

@Efan I was nearly banned for saying the n-word to a friend that didn't even get offended by it. All the while no one was nearby to even hear me except him and a SECRET INVISIBLE STAFF MEMBER.

I don't know. There are a lot of reasons why new players don't continue playing anymore. As you've stated already, getting told off is one thing. But then again, and that is my unpopular opinion, is that the server is way TOO restricted. It won't take long until admins start to interfere with your game for something that either you did or someone that did something to you. There are too many players that immediately complain to higher-ups because they don't get what they want.

Another reason, and I think that was stated above, is that these new players are raided. While there is this ''gentlemen rule'' of not raiding newbies, it happens nonetheless. I find it easy to say for older players that they should deal with it, because that is part of the server, but not everyone has 200k-500k on the bank and can spend money on making the most high-end gun. You can give the newbies a handgun, sure, but what can they do against 2-3 fully geared players? It happens, and it scares people away from the server, which I give them full reason to. It is difficult making money in the game, especially with these big orgs breathing in your neck, its a risk every time you are online.

The game is not fun when you have no cash, and while new players give multiple options to make money, there are not a lot that are really interesting enough to continue doing.

@Jack Bushross because selling guns outside of what the bank considers to be a shop is a crime. The PD aren’t “ruining your roleplay” by stopping this, they’re enforcing the law and actually RPing themselves.

I can definitely agree with this. I feel like the server is indeed a tad bit.. " censored " in a way, and a lot of people get angry if you do something ( even if it's a joke or not you still have a high chance to be punished ).

I feel like players do have a decent amount of ways to make money ( most of them indeed uninteresting ), but it becomes a grind for them to do that which gets rather boring quickly.

There's a pretty fine line between what is and isn't, and what should and shouldn't, (be) allowed. Being able to identify and uphold that line is an ability that takes time and confidence, and misidentifying it can cause plenty of problems. However, the ability to make exceptions for the sake of the players' experience and enjoyment is something that tests discretion even more. The rules need to be in place so the server functions, but how strictly they are enforced is also incredibly important and is probably the main thing that makes being a staff member a challenge. I can't stress how much more enjoyable the server is when people leave their emotions at the door and actually try to have fun, but unfortunately, that doesn't always happen and one person or group can't be entirely blamed. Staff have a job to do and if someone decides to try and ruin the game for someone else by reporting them for something petty or baited into, the staff member can be put in a hard position because whilst technically something may be against the rules, humouring this toxic behaviour is a very poor president to set.

The steps towards solving this problem need to be made by everyone, staff and player. It's a game and is meant to be enjoyed.
