WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE AN ENFORCER?:
Long time coming apparently, I was considering making one of these last year but felt as though at the time I wasn't in the correct mindset to be an enforcer. I however now feel as though I have all the experience necessary.
I care immensely about this community, I wouldn't want to ever see it go down the shitter or devolve into an unsalvageable dumpster fire. As it stands the community isn't what it used to be. Sure its not as toxic as it once was, but at the same time, its still significantly worse than what it once was too. As an enforcer my responsibilities would be to ensure the rules are being enforced, both community and game rules, to ensure the game mode is fair and enjoyable to other players and that the community is entirely approachable and enjoyable to be a part of.
For a bit of background, I have been in this community for a good while now, First playing the server around new years 2017 and making a forum account in February 2017, I had a bit of a rocky start to the community as a rule breaker and a general minge. I have since shed this reputation and become an at least generally accepted community member.
As a helper, I am enjoying the role when it comes to helping people, however, there is only so much I can do to assist people. If someone is stuck, for example, I will have to manually drive to them and physgun them, when as staff I could do so far easier. Unfortunately, The vast majority of "Help and support" Reports are either people being stuck inside locked apartments or inside a chair inside a locked building, or asking for a car repair / refund request, and other things that I cannot do as a helper.
I've bettered myself in my general judgement and ability to conduct myself very well I believe, as beforehand, I was somewhat of a toxic player catching forum warnings, bans, and provoking Staff members and other community members. I have lost all interest in doing said actions several months ago as it was unhealthy and generally influenced other people to do what I was doing.
I've been a member of the PD Command team for a few months too now, and have received praise en masse for how I conduct myself and how I run my division. I do however understand that being a PD command member and being a server staff members are different branches of the same Vineyard however. But regardless of this, this demonstrates that I am someone that can be trusted with permissions beyond that of the typical user.
As it stands, The server has active staff, yet reports aren't being done according to some users. I feel as though I can allocate time and effort into dealing with reports and action requests, and use my better judgement without a sense of bias to ensure the correct and proportionate action is taken for the better of the community and the game itself. As someone who's been in essentially every RP situation possible at least twice, I can use my experience as a reference point for how I decide on the outcome of a report. I have over 7 months game time (Lmao sad innit) on this server alone, so I've been on it long enough to fully understand the rules.
As what I’ve been told as an outstanding member of the community, I consider myself to be a quick thinker and a quick fixer. It doesn’t take me long to come up with a solution to problems people are facing.
My warning history isn’t sparkly clean, neither is my ban history par se. You can look those up on scambans except for my last ban, which was initially community wide, which was successfully appealed within half an hour of it happening. The ban was outright removed however, my forum ban appeal is The only real evidence of me being banned that I can present. Further information on the situation can be found on Dom’s thread in news and announcements regarding the incident.
My last warning was a 1.1 warning on March the 9th of this year, for 1.1. My last ban was the above situation.
If you look at my warning and ban history you will note that it is inconsistent, implying negative behaviour from me is a rare occurrence, especially as time roles on.
Relevant experience and notes:
- I came second in the 2019 Chief of department elections.
- I went the entirety of 2019 without a warning or ban in game.
- I was one of the first patrol trainers from last years patrol training relaunch (and subsequent death lol) even though I still hold the rank of Patrol trainer, it is sadly a dormant position.
- I have been in TFU as a trainer for well over a year now, I am now the Captain of the Tactical Firearms Unit.
- I‘ve worked in IA as an independent investigator for 7 months, and received a commendation when I resigned from that role recently for my work within the division, which can be found on my PLPD.online profile.
- I am in the complaints committee so I am used to having meetings on TS to decide the outcome of a report.
- I have gained a reputation for making suggestions which usually gain a fair amount of support at least.
- I have held both a deputy and lead section supervisor role. I still hold the position of lead section supervisor.
- I have 7 months of server game time which can easily translate into experience with the game mode that can be utilised in handling player made reports.
- I've been a helper for almost a month now.
