Although we have never formally clarified this, the Constructive Supports rule was originally amended to totally exclude external input into situations from those who are not relevant:

2.4 Constructive supports - Users should only reply to the threads within the Ban Appeal, Warning Dispute, Refund Request and Action Request section if they were directly involved in the situation in question. When replying to Suggestions and Staff Applications users are expected to be constructive with their replies by providing their reasoning.

Replying includes commenting, and up until now many comments made by irrelevant parties have been deleted, but this has proved overwhelming. Please, do not do it. If appropriate we may remind you privately about this rule. Violation of this rule can result in a forum warning, especially for repeat offenders.

The many reasons for this rule being in place have been given in the past (see Moron's original thread if interested); it is counter productive to also allow comments from irrelevant parties when these reasons are also being used to prevent such people from replying.

Thanks.
PH Administration

I'm still seeing people commenting on threads that they are not involved with. I think we need to enforce this a little better, or turn commenting off or have comments approved if possible.
