Main Idea: Connect the city, business, and suburbs with paths stemming from the park. One would pass beneath the highway and meet at the Church, the other would follow the City Ridgeline before sloping down and meeting the Docks at the Pub.

Full description of the idea:
The paths would stem from the main paths already existing at the park, and would be similarly lit and sand-paved.

The suburbs path would approach the side of the off-ramp, where it would meet a foot tunnel similar to the Belmont Underpass (perhaps you could simply remove the underpass from the intersection and place it here, given it's hardly ever used anymore). This tunnel would exit at the other side of the highway, and would connect via path to the pavement at Church.

The business path would stem from the park, following the ridge closely. The area would need to be sculpted to allow for players to walk alongside it, but aside from that it would only need to be a small strip of space. The path would slowly slope down so, by the time it reaches the Docks, it is level. It would then meet the unused walkway next to the Pub.

Why should it be added?:

  • There are no pedestrian connections from Business to anywhere (excluding monorail, which doesn't count, is infrequent, and frankly is redundant regardless), and few pedestrian connectsion from the Suburbs to the City. Introducing these would give citizens opportunities to get from place to place without having to run to their car, new players to explore the city, as well as realistically portraying a well-designed and connected city.
  • The park is currently desolate and underused. Giving it some purpose and utility in being a connection hub for pedestrians and people just wanting to explore the map would bring the area to life as well as encourage people to take the scenic route. I am in no doubt that the ridgeline path will provide a nice view of the waters of Paralake as well as a useful path to walk from area to area.
  • These routes would provide additional roleplay opportunities, as well as offering routes to escape or leave certain areas, instead of being trapped in Business or at the Docks during a shootout.

Pros:
See above.

Cons:
- None, aside from some map development required.

i agree, i recommend also a footpath that spans the side of the city bridge that goes from that weirdly named place where the office DD is, to harbour lane/flintlock street; maybe an overpass to the monorail when you get there
