Suggestion Title: Fake ID
Suggestion Description: Make it so players can change their identity temporarily.
How it would work:
- Go to the Drug Dealer to buy it. Priced for at least $10k and limited in quantity. (Based on the org level you could get a message similar to Ephedrine restock announcement)
- Equip/unequip it in your inventory and voilà.
- Fake ID would disappear after disconnecting or dying.
How would people now it is you:
- They can still recognise as stated in rule 3.29
- /ooc your name would be a different color other than green (and colors used by jobs)
- Upon mugging, players can take the Fake ID off you and destroy it. They won't be able to use it themselves.
- Upon getting searched by cops, it would be confiscated (Contrary to 6.1)
What would change about you:
- /desc and /me's would bear the name as stated on the Fake ID
- name above your head would be different and randomly generated
What would the Fake ID not do:
- Get rid of the DNA, it would still be binded to your real name and picture in the Police Computer
- Bypass the 3.29 Recognising Players. However, you could change your identity prior to doing a crime
- Change your caller ID, the phone would still be registered in your name
How to solve abuse/being too OP:
- Besides just disappearing on death/dc, it would be discarded after certain time (10-15min) as the Drug Dealer's counterfeit operation will go sideways
Feel free to add any Pros/Cons and I wil add them in the suggestion.
Why should this be added?:
- Players being more anonymous, without actually having to change their names and having the chance to lose the name to someone else
- Chance to confuse the cops, with a "legit" looking ID, in order to evade arrest.
What negatives could this have?:
- Hard to implement
- Abuse/Bypassing 3.29
- Hard for staff to monitor name changes (very limited quantity could solve this)
