As some have told me gmod mainly runs on the cpu, I currently have a shitty Amd radeon 7650k quad core and gmod runs shit, looking at upgrading that, I was thinking amd ryzen but I'm still figuring out if my motherboard I have (MSI Grenade) is right, including my ram, and such. More info later one. Cheers.

1800x should be good and cheap but it's a little old. I'm thinking about which one to buy too.

Em, I'm pretty sure they are not compatible. A 7650K supports DDR3 RAM meaning the motherboard will only take DDR3 sticks. Ryzen will only run on DDR4 sticks which are not compatible with DDR3 slots.

You'll need to get a new motherboard and RAM.

Intel doesn't support the FM2+ socket. He is going to have to get a new motherboard no matter what.

Your basket is stored in your session, we can't see it. Honestly, it might be a better idea to save up more and wait until prices from Ryzen 3 to drop as they're claiming significantly better single core performance which will be good for Source. AMD have delivered on their promises quite well from the past couple of years.

If you want over 80 fps in bazaar shootouts join the i7 9700k masterrace, can hit 5.2ghz with decent voltage. @Aquaa
