Suggest some actual guns instead of just "new guns"? Also, I don't believe that this will be added from the previous suggestions to add new guns. But put some more time into the suggestion and something could happen.

Yes I would definently make a rule suggestion instead, this is a community issue as it happens on nearly every suggestion. A rule stating that this would not be allowed would be lovely as yes, people lose interest, it's like opening a book with no pages.

You can still make a suggestion that was made ages ago, even if some fuck ass kid begins typing "oohhh duplicate" and sends links and shit it's still not their decision wether the suggestion gets denied or accepted, so in my humble opinion. Pack it in, let them be so they can feel good as much...
