I think a better idea would be to allow for the creation of more than one character on the same account and then when joining the server, you choose which character you wish to play as. This way you don't have to mess around with multiple steam accounts, linking them so your ban record is...

This is a much better idea. Thanks for elaborating on mine, you're absolutely right that a flat 1% would be way too much for people with big money in their savings accounts. I like the idea of the percentage being based on the total in the acccount!
