Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @blobvis 2.0
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 2 Weeks

Your Steam Name: MelonMan
Your Roleplay Name: Jackson Berry
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:624712614

Why were you punished?: 2.5, 3.4 - user "counterraided" a non existing raid (failed to investigate properly) and to start this shot an unarmed man in the face outside the property on the driveway

Why should this appeal be considered?: As you can see in the clip there is clearly two men entering the area of the shootout and getting inside of the home bringing out guns and storing them, from my prospective it seemed to be a legitimate raid while also the other dude getting inside the property in the middle of the shootout unarmed risked his own life since he didint avoid gunfire if he really wasnt involved. all i seen was two men enter a property in a possible raid and wanted to counter as i did as soon as they entered the property, i didint rush as soon as i saw them shooting at eachother, i patiently waited for them to enter the property to make sure it was a raid. If the guy got shot its interely his fault not avoiding gunfire and rushing into a shootout unarmed.

Additional Information: thank you for your time

Correct me if Iam wrong, but this property got raided and the raiders died, and those guys came to pick up the guns and you decided to "counter-raid" to steal those guns?

Neither party was the home owner though, it was a gunfight and in an attempt to flee user attempted to run into an abandoned building for cover.

You show only the middle of the situation, as far as I was made aware the guy that got shot in the house killed the guy on the street (mini owner, I am not 100% though) and attempted to flee, however the second car pulled up and starting shooting the guy that just murdered their friend. In response the guy ran into the house for cover but got shot. At which point they attempted to flee when u arrived and shot a guy that was not a threat at all and even unarmed. U never gunpointed him and just immediately fired bullets at him.

I am confused why you are trying to show a twisted field as u were made aware of this fact after the shootout as u had a chat with all shooters and cops inside the house them clearly stating no one owned it there. Furthermore why were u watching a shootout u were not involved with lurking the area instead of fleeing?

This situation is just very confusing i had no chat whatsoever with the shooters just a little argument on looc about that guy that got shot . All i have seen was a guy getting inside a house shooting and getting out putting guns in his trunk and tought it was a raid that’s pretty much it. the ban was not necessary since i acted on what i have saw and in my limits of the rules . i can’t really go to them and ask them “is this a raid or a shootout ?so i can counter you guys !!” . they have entered the property shot and stole guns and as for someone countering at the moment pretty looks like a raid.
about the guy that was unarmed and got shot as i say again why would he have rushed in a actived shootout unarmed anyway? he risked his life and got shot in a shootout you don’t really have time to check if they have a gun or not that’s why the rules explain that you should avoid the scene of a shootout when you are unarmed ! As for me i tought it was a raid from the start that’s why i was on the scene while also living near the house.

Killing the unarmed user was not justified, counter raiding is still technically raiding therefore the same rules apply that you can only kill on sight if they are armed, as you did not see the user armed at any point it was not valid to kill them.
However, we have decided to remove 3.4 and ammended the ban reason
