Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Tyla Jai
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 1 Week

Your Steam Name: Tomasz Szelbi
Your Roleplay Name: Baljeet Singh
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:604252451

Why were you punished?: 2.5 - The player opened fire on a transit van transporting drugs without giving verbal commands or any attempt to initiate roleplay

Why should this appeal be considered?: I recently took part in a situation where I witnessed Tyla transporting drugs in the back of his Transit. I wanted to steal the drugs there and attempted to stop him, which he then failed to comply and attempted to evade. I disabled his vehicle and attempted to gunpoint both players in the vehicle but they both ran away and Tyla started shooting in self defence. You can see in the clip that we attempted to stop the vehicle by going in front of it but they turned and we tried for a second time to stop it, then with the van getting away i shot to disable it.

I am not saying that Tyla broke 3.4, I am only disputing my 2.5 ban as I believe that it's not 2.5.

Thank you!

Additional Information: In report you mentioned how we could have gone about this in a more rp friendly way however we did try our best efforts.

Given your own and Tyla's videos, the entire extent of this interaction seems to have been a very much unsuccessful attempt at blocking the car with no verbal commands before it is sprayed up. Already, this isn't really a very natural escalation.

Best case scenario, if the car had been stopped successfully, you would have held the occupants of the car at gunpoint in the middle of the street while you pick unfinished drugs, which doesn't seem worth it at all. Perhaps it would have been possible for you to get a van of your own, but again, you would've had to keep these people at gunpoint in the middle of the street until that happened.

The only way I have seen a drug transport 'intercepted' properly, is by following the players to their base (or drop off point, often in the forest or behind a small subs house) and engaging them there. In muggable areas, sure, stopping and gunpointing the car would have been more than feasible. At a base, it would've been very easy to follow them in at gunpoint, or shoot them while entering if they were carrying visible guns.

Opening fire on a car in the middle of the street to steal from them, unfortunately, was not appropriate
