Suggestion Title: Make bombs not leave DNA
Suggestion Description: So as somewhat of a bomb expert, when you place and detonate a bomb it leaves DNA on the person who placed the bomb, not who rang the bomb. This seems unrealistic as when you die to a bomb u normally arent 1 solid piece and having dna on you doesnt make much sense.
An example of why this makes no sense, last night me and my friend blew up 7 people and I had allegedly numerous dna on me when most people died within a close proximity of the bomb and subsequent vehicle explosion causing my arrest for 9.5, this makes no sense as they would have been smithereens.

Why should this be added?:
- more realism in the roleplay
- makes bombs more sinister when used for murders

What negatives could this have?:
- bombs being the new meta to kill ur rivals

What problem would this suggestion solve?: makes bombs be realistic in that they blow up dna and doesnt leave evidence of who did what

As a professional Explosive user, EOD enforcer and someone with a multitude of experience in bomb detonation i too agree.

Honestly, i think for gameplay purposes that would be fair enough. Though I feel like since remote explosives do give fairly little warning (especially since its just a ringtone) there should still be a way for police to trace the number that called it. Maybe make that what shows on DNA instead of the player who dropped it.

Why not make it the phone number can be traced of who called it, then you can request a higher rank officer if your too low who can trace numbers which will increase interaction with higher ups in PD as from other posts it seems like theres a disconnect between the Lower and Higher ranks, two birds with the one stone

the bomb exploded bro and if its a timed then there was no phone to begin with

There would also be no DNA, if you kill someone with an unregistered firearm it would also be untraceable neither make sense but are like that for gameplay reasons

Bearing in mind that the DNA scan system in of itself isn’t supposed to be a realistic feature, but instead be a convenient yet timely way of replacing long winded, day long murder investigations police would do in real life that simply wouldn’t fit into the game, I find it fair that DNA shows up on all weapons used to kill a person, bombs included.

An important thing to note is that bullets realistically also typically don't leave the DNA of the perpetrator on the victim's body.

So for those struggling that not all features are realistic, but are instead for the purpose of gameplay, consider that first.

Bullet casings get left on the ground unless ye pick them up, they tend to have dna on it so realistically the “bullets” would have dna

You're thinking fingerprints, not DNA. You don't leave enough traceable DNA to be identified from touching objects most of the time unless you're licking your bullet casings. Which if you are.. please stop.

idk i think bombs should be considered like molotovs where the damage dealt is significant enough to not leave dna, as mentioned above a cool counter would be the ability to dna the phone number called (idk how you'd do that I dont really know bombs that well) as to not make using bombs the new meta for kos

with a simple google search it proved u wrong! It may be difficult to trace but with today’s technology u can still get traced from just handling them. The chances for that may be small but it’s possible and will only improve over time with better technology.

DNA is just to replace forensic investigation, it’s a bridge between realism and gameplay mechanics that are enjoyable. A system that requires more investigation than the DNA tool could be an idea to implement, however that could become very long winded and not so enjoyable.

I have an idea for bombs: maybe a destroyed bomb should remain in place after detonation. This bomb can be moved (hidden) by players and despawns after a set time. If found during this set time, police can confiscate it, this automatically uploads DNA to the police computer, or DNA tool could be a used, up to devs really.

Please let me know your thoughts on this idea

If you read it again that's precisely what I said. Back to my point of how this is a gameplay mechanic, not a realism mechanic. Because we simply can't afford the time.
