Is this a new law or a change to a current law: New Law

What law do you wish to change/add: 7.9 - Possession of Anti-Material rifles - It is illegal to manufacture, sell, possess or transport anti-material rifles.

Why should this change/addition be made: These weapons are not effective for self defence, using them risks instantly finishing off the person you are killing and frankly, there's no need to own them for home defence or otherwise.

What is the aim of this change/addition: Add some more black market items so I have more things to sell in the jarheadz secret shop. In all seriousness, expanding the black market layer of perp helps blend the generic afk passive crafter RP with some sense of criminality, which I think enhances the experience greatly.

Additional Information: I think this suggestion applies to the AWP / Barret / AS50 but I may have missed some. This is the lightest gun control measure I could think of.

Given that the majority if not all of these class of rifles have been heavily nerfed from a picking up and movement perspective, I don't think this is proportionate. Additionally, players choosing to use these guns get stung by the large loss of asset value if they die with them as they are so expensive to make and maintain due to the cost of sniper ammunition. There is also the knock-on impact on those with Bazaar businesses where they would no longer be able to openly sell such rifles.

This is true with the current shops available to players but hopefully in v7 if more shops have a sealed backroom players could actually engage in some good larp instead of afking overnight with a wall full of rifles

Obviously we just had a conversation on Discord about this, but as explained it has always been a notorious pain in the ass to buy/sell explosives and incendiaries which shows that this model isn't really provable in terms of creating roleplay/black market opportunity. I don't think the current set-up of player businesses has any major part in this either as the issue of buying/selling explosives and incendiaries has existed on all iterations of Paralake including when Bazaar shops had lockable doors.

Maybe others are supportive of this idea but in all good conscience, I myself cannot support it. I think it creates more issues and imbalance than the roleplay opportunity it has the potential to create.
