Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute
Which staff member issued the punishment?: Acerius
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 6 Months

Your Steam Name: jmrh
Your Roleplay Name: {will loinel}
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:876238867

Why were you punished?: 1.4, 2.5, 3.4 - User was part of a group that were instigating shootouts with police for seemingly no reason, with no initial felony attracting a sentence of 7+ years being made. The group were also killing Paramedics. Essentially MassRDM.

Why should this appeal be considered?: I am writing to clarify the situation regarding my ban issued by Acerius. There seems to be a misunderstanding of how the event transpired on my end.
1. Regarding Paramedics: I explicitly clarify that I did NOT shoot or kill any paramedics during this situation. I ask the staff team to please check the kill/damage logs to verify that I had no involvement in killing medical staff.
2. Regarding the Police Shootout: To clarify what happened: Me and two friends were initially detained by the police. A friend named Teddy arrived, shot the officers, and freed us. Following this, we were actively wanted with high sentence risks. However, I now understand that initiated shootouts with police officers simply for being wanted—without an active direct arrest attempt in progress—violates server rules (1.4 / 2.5 / 3.4).
This was a genuine misunderstanding of the escalation rules on my part. I assure you I had no intention of ruining RP or committing MassRDM. I request a review of the logs regarding the paramedic kill, and I hope for a reduction or removal of the ban as I now fully understand the rules.

Additional Information: please check the logs for damage dealt to paramedics and police.

Why I shot at you initially: My vehicle was completely disabled and I had a visible heavy weapon on my back while escorting a freed individual. Surrendering was not an option because it meant losing my gear and facing high-tier felony charges. I engaged to protect my freedom and weapons.
Regarding NLR & the City Hall situation: I did not break NLR to avenge my previous life. The interaction at City Hall was a completely fresh incident. I shot at that moment because allowing you to cuff us at City Hall would have immediately triggered a system/radio check, revealing our active warrants and linking us to the prior charges. I acted purely in the moment to prevent an immediate arrest and protect my gear, not because of remembered events from a past life.

Once again involved, surrendering was indeed your only option, as 1. you shouldn't really have gotten involved, you didn't know what he was even being detained for, and 2. you only committed possession of an offensive weapon (2 years) and aiding and abetting (5 years), which is not enough reason to kill cops over as they are regarded as minor crimes. Regarding City Hall, why were you there in the first place? You had just been broken out of jail, and your first thought was to walk to 4 government employees who are required, per server rules, to snitch on you, as they had witnessed the entire ordeal and just loitered around in the area visibly armed, waiting for cops so you could see a gunfight? Your responses have to be AI because everything you say makes zero sense; you being cuffed does NOT trigger a radio alert. You shooting a cop, however, alerts every government worker online that said cop has been shot. And as mentioned in the other reply I made in your friend's thread, you then decided to stay in the area as another gunfight broke out when more of your friends showed up to kill the new batch of responding cops. You had zero regard for your safety & life; if you had escaped to a safe property or literally anywhere other than City Hall this would never have happened.

I didn't even remember this part. During the initial shootout, whilst your friend was actively shooting police through the PD front door, instead of running away, you decided to walk back into the PD whilst cuffed, providing cover as some form of a meat shield for your friend, who was actively shooting cops, making it impossible for cops to kill him, as you probably knew it breaks policy.

Regarding detaining without reason: If you did not know what my associate's crimes were, why were you detaining him in the first place?
Why I engaged initially: As I stated, I was harboring a wanted individual, actively escaping the police, and carrying a heavy weapon on my back. All three are severe felony reasons that would result in heavy jail time. I acted entirely out of necessity to avoid arrest and retain my equipment.
Regarding the "Meat Shield" claim: I was not acting as a meat shield for anyone. I went inside the PD simply to seek cover and prevent the police from apprehending me in the middle of the chaotic scene. The person standing directly in front was another player, not me.
Regarding the NLR accusation: I did NOT break NLR because I never died during that incident. I was only injured/downed, treated by a paramedic, and subsequently freed by my associate Teddy. Since I did not die, no NLR applies to my actions.

You have to be using AI for this, right, because nothing is making sense??
If you did not know what my associate's crimes were, why were you detaining him in the first place?
The problem is that YOU didn't know what his crimes were and still decided to initiate KOS on the PD over it IS a problem. You never even spoke to the person being detained; you just witnessed him in handcuffs and decided that was enough evidence for you to start gunning into a massive crowd of both police AND civilians.
All three are severe felony reasons that would result in heavy jail time. I acted entirely out of necessity to avoid arrest and retain my equipment.
1. You were aiming a gun at police from behind your car before picking your friend up; however, you bailed when your friend '0' got shot by TFU on scene, as you realized you hadn't been spotted doing it. You then decided to get back in your car with your gun still on your back, slowly driving around the PD entrance, just watching the scene with your gun on your back. If you are willing to KOS PD over a gun, why didn't you leave the area?

2. All three of these crimes are actually rules-wise minor, none of which can land you a 7+ year sentence. You cannot kill the entire PD simply because you didn't want to lose a gun.

I was not acting as a meat shield for anyone. I went inside the PD simply to seek cover and prevent the police from apprehending me in the middle of the chaotic scene. The person standing directly in front was another player, not me.
Must have been the wind? Sure looks like you were seeking cover, given that you were standing in the same corner I was actively shooting into.

Regarding the NLR accusation:
No one has even accused you of breaking NLR, so why do you bring it up in every reply? The fact that you didn't die and lingered around people required to report you to the police (government employees) in direct view of the police station IS the problem. You spent 6 entire minutes in direct eyeshot of the PD after initially aiming your gun at police until you were shot dead, instead of leaving the scene per rule 3.4

Any mod dealing with this, feel free to reach out to me for demos. I am more than happy to provide them, and it contains the entire situation from beginning to end. It's not a good idea to lie in your own apology (even though it reads like a dispute) when every second of your actions is recorded.

Anyways, yeah... Mic drop...

Another awesome picture to add to the fire. This is 6 minutes after you initiated the mass RDM, when you & your posse decided to parade down Main Street with assault rifles on your backs to go wait for the entire PD to respawn at City Hall whilst playing 50 Cent into your mic and dancing and just being dumb. You guys sure look innocent. All in front of a bunch of government employees, mind you. You could have left the scene, or even just gone and put your guns away if you really wanted to rub your mass RDM into our faces by standing where we respawn so that we at least don't immediately have a reason to arrest you, but no- anything for org XP, right?

Regarding Image 1 (Initial Incident): As seen in the screenshot, I did not fire a single bullet at that moment. I was simply taking cover behind my vehicle while holding my weapon. I then got into my car, picked up my associate, and drove away. Only after an officer actively opened fire on us did I step out and return fire purely in self-defense.
Regarding Image 2 ("Meat Shield" Claim): I was not acting as a meat shield in any way. As clearly shown in the image, I was standing beside my friend, not directly in front of him blocking bullets. I simply walked in to see who was shooting.
Regarding Image 3 (Music / Emotes & City Hall Incident): I did not play any music or use any dance emotes; it was exclusively my friends who did that, as they are brand new to the city and were unfamiliar with the server rules. Regarding the shootout at City Hall: the officer was actively arresting and cuffing my friend. Fearing that this arrest would immediately link him back to his prior severe felony charges, I took action and killed only that specific officer to prevent the arrest. I did not target or harm any other individuals or paramedics on the scene

Now tell me again why i got 6 months ban ? is it for an MassRdm that i haven't committed ? or for shielding that never happened ? or the shooting on a police officer to save my friend ? and lets say hypothetically i didn't know what my friends case was exactly as you claim do you think 6 month ban is the fair choice ?

As seen in the screenshot, I did not fire a single bullet at that moment. I was simply taking cover behind my vehicle while holding my weapon.
You're right, but if you read my message it it shows intent, please actually read what I'm saying instead of just deflecting. My point since the start regarding that is that you were willing to KOS every cop without even communicating with your cuffed friend.

Only after an officer actively opened fire on us did I step out and return fire purely in self-defense
Yep, there is a law that ratifies self defence; 2.1, and more importantly 2.2 Necessity, which states that you indeed can defend yourself if your actions are "justifiable and proportionate", however I don't think you yourself believe killing every cop in sight is in any way justifiable when you've just committed a crime in front of them, as police can use "any amount of force in the execution of their duties..." per law 3.3.
I don't know if you're being dense on purpose because I am confused why I'm explaining why you can't legally shoot police trying to detain you after you've committed a crime.

I was standing beside my friend, not directly in front of him blocking bullets. I simply walked in to see who was shooting.
The 3.4 thing is very minor compared to your mass RDM, so I wouldn't get too invested in defending it, especially when you literally admit to breaking it in your own response. I will agree your friend was more of a meatshield as he stood directly infront of the shooter at times, but you still were literal inches away from where bullets were hitting the wall, why? You initially said you were looking for cover, don't you think the opposite corner where nobody is actively shooting into is a better spot? I only brought this up to show your blatant disregard for the rules.

I did not play any music or use any dance emotes; it was exclusively my friends who did that
Once again, see the bigger picture. The problem is obviously not the song choice of 50 Cent (he's a good rapper), but more so that you decide to parade around Main Street visibly armed trying to find more police to kill, instead of leaving the scene.

Fearing that this arrest would immediately link him back to his prior severe felony charges
I'm tired of repeating myself but you are also expected to follow 3.4 and leave the area after committing a crime instead of whatever you did, your posse isn't magically exempt.

I will one more time reiterate that if you after killing cops the first time just fled the scene, you might not even have been banned, and if you were your ban would likely read more like "Killed a police officer without properly investigating what his friend was being detained for" and be a tiny fraction of what you received in length. You actively seeking out more killing obviously makes it look like mass RDM.

I'm now done responding and will let the mods handle this as I still am convinced I'm being trolled by AI. Good luck fella
