Suggestion Title: Add Ladders to the Fire Department
Suggestion Description: I would like to suggest adding usable ladders to the Fire Department for firefighters to use during roleplay situations. These could be used to access higher floors, rooftops, or other elevated areas during fires and rescue scenarios.

Why should this be added?:
I think ladders would make Fire Department roleplay much more realistic and enjoyable. It would give firefighters another useful tool during fire calls and create more opportunities for proper teamwork and coordinated rescues.

It could also make larger buildings and multi-floor fire scenarios more interesting, rather than firefighters only being able to enter buildings through doors or use existing map access points.

What negatives could this have?:
* Players could potentially abuse the ladders outside of Fire Department roleplay.
* They may cause some minor map/clipping issues depending on where they are placed.
* They could require some testing to make sure they work properly and aren’t exploitable.
* Players might use them to access areas they aren’t supposed to reach.

What problem would this suggestion solve?: It would give the Fire Department another way to respond to fires and rescue situations, especially when someone is trapped on an upper floor or rooftop. It would also improve the overall quality of Fire Department roleplay by giving firefighters more equipment and situations to work with.

Overall, I think adding ladders would be a small addition that could make Fire Department roleplay much more engaging and immersive.

I see it being abused by criminals easily, Start raid -> fire fighter at sight -> gun point the fire fighter -> make them put a ladder down somewhere where people can't normally access could be a weird off angle or go inside a property from the back such as slums.

-1 for me

Good luck on you soldier with this suggestion. We've tried for almost a decade to get it added and people keep screaming it's just going to ruin the meta.

A simple rule of not being able to force emergency services to place barricades or ladders would be a super easy fix. It doesn't even make sense that isn't already banned.

I can understand the concern about the ladder potentially being abused, especially by criminals trying to gain access to areas they normally couldn’t reach. However, I think this could be controlled through rules or by limiting ladder placement to appropriate situations.

I’ve also seen a couple of situations where people have ended up on top of the police station and become stuck up there. Having ladders available to the Fire Department could give firefighters an actual roleplay reason to respond and help get people down, rather than it just being a situation where they’re stuck with no realistic way of getting down.

I think it would create more RP opportunities for the Fire Department, especially with people getting trapped on rooftops or other hard-to-access areas. It wouldn’t just be useful for fires — it could also be used for rescue situations and give firefighters more things to actually respond to.

The potential abuse is definitely something that would need to be considered, but I think the additional roleplay opportunities could make ladders worthwhile if they’re properly restricted.

I completely agree with this. I think having a simple rule that prevents players from forcing emergency services to place ladders or barricades would deal with most of the abuse concerns.

The ladder itself could still be a great addition for proper Fire Department RP, especially for genuine rescue situations. Like I mentioned, I’ve seen people end up stuck on top of the police station a couple of times, and having firefighters able to respond with a ladder would create an actual RP situation rather than just having someone stuck up there.

I think as long as there are clear rules around when and where ladders can be placed, the potential for abuse could be kept under control while still giving the Fire Department more opportunities to RP.

If ladders get added it could open up the Fire fighter job npc work for example, rescuing a cat from a tree, which imo is very much needed as the job has so much downtime. I like the idea due to the possibilities it opens up for the job.

Obviously rescuing cats was just one example, could have other npc type jobs using the ladder in the same way courier gets shop orders.

i fully support anything that makes the firefighter job interesting as it is currently the worst job in the server, to prevent criminals from being dickheads you can enforce that the ford and the MTL to not be used anywhere near a crime scene so no ladders to be used and instead the RAM, rangerovers to be only used for cpr etc. but if a firefighter gets more shit to do in the city he wouldnt be needed anywhere near a crime scene
