Suggestion Title: Make static speed cameras destroyable.
Suggestion Description: The idea is similar to how people in real life have been known to destroy ULEZ cameras around London. I think you should be able to temporarily disable the new static speed cameras via damage.

This could require a specific tool, or just be done via any melee weapon.

It will force police to actually attend them and not just leave them in a spot.

Why should this be added?:
- Realism
Fuck 12

What negatives could this have?:
- Would it be done too much?

What problem would this suggestion solve?: police just leave it and it flashbangs people while they are driving.

Tbh, as much as I understand this, I see it causing way more problems than it's worth. As it stands you're not allowed to risk your freedom over a speeding ticket, this would just be an enforcement nightmare and give police yet another nuisance to stop doing whatever is important to arrest someone for nonsense that doesn't really benefit RP.

Making the flashbang a toggleable option is a better solution to this problem.

Not really because what if you're in a stolen vehicle or you're wanted and you are flashed and as a result officers are pinged of your location leading to detection?

More often than not I see that they're just abandoned.

I mean, yeah, but if youre wanted, you already shouldn't be doing things that draw attention to yourself lol. Hopping out of your stolen car to break a speed camera(which would almost certainly alert police to respond to it) only to hop back in and drive away instead of just you know, not speeding past it, is absurd lmao
 
If you really want to counter the fact that they are sometimes abandoned, I would rather see them lose connection if the officer is far away. That sounds more reasonable than having people get out on the highway just to vandalize a speed camera.
 
this is will just be an annoyance and make more trolling and minging as people will randomly stop on the highways every 10 seconds to destroy speed cameras just for the hell of it. No thanks let PD have something good for once.

Also a possible 3.4 break as they aren't valuing their lives and stopping on a busy highway to do something stupid for no reason. it will increase staff workload for no reason. Don't speed if you don't want to get flashed its quite a simple concept
 
Honestly just make them non-functional when no RTU officer is near the speed camera. You should also be able to damage them but only after a certain grace period as RTU usually leave their spots if they catch someone speeding, ideally they should convey information to another officer as to not leave their post but I'm not RTU guy.

Also to note: This is just petty crime for something that should be avoided entirely. Would you really risk your life to step out of your car on a busy highway and potentially be caught destroying a silly unattended camera?

I also question the necessity of this addition a bit. We've had CCTV dispatcher cameras for years and we never see anyone complaining about the destructibility of these, CCTV cameras can have a far greater impact than just speed cameras in my opinion.

a game that is quoted as being a "serious RP server" don't speed. I have busted way to many people doing 110+ on the highway. That is your own fault if you get flashed by the camera. Def skill issue

mate i am not locking my speed to 40mph in the city yes serious rp server but like they said it is a game and features are created/changed to keep that in mind. you get flashed when you are doing the speed limit also so the "just dont speed" argument barely holds up.
The cameras are annoying, if they removed the flash/lowered it im sure people wouldn't care as much but at the minute they are so annoying.
 
the argument of giving pd more to respond to being a bad thing is a bad argument, ur here to roleplay a law enforcement officer, enforce the law or find something else to do. Criminals irl do stupid shit for not much gain so its not unrealistic to smash up a camera that is causing u annoyance whether thats in speeding tickets or being flashed or u just dont want to be under 24/7 surveillance. I think this is a good suggestion and adds more to the game than just afk speeding ticket farming

The distance can cause other problems, since for some cam positions you have to be basically half of the map away in order to do them.

In terms of it being destroyable.. when coming up with the concept me and @Draxen even envisioned a destroyed version of the cam, however then we realized that YES people will absolutely stop on the highway to beat the shit out of a camera and create even more chaos.

And YES people will beat the shit out of the camera whilst an officer is staring at them.

Considering is the annoyance of the camera, alternatively allow the RTU officer to turn it off when they leave it (to chase someone fleeing from stopping after getting flashed 7/10 times) - The light on the model can be turned off when this happens (already part of the model)

If you have epilepsy triggered by a flash single flash, then I think there's bigger issues elsewhere ingame that could trigger it.

But I assume the flash could be slightly dimmed down.
