Why were you banned/blacklisted?: @jbooling will receive a ban extension on their current ban to 2 weeks for the following reasons: In situation one, you are seen to flee gun-point, with no realistic means of escape, resulting in your death. This violated 3.4. In situation three, you get out your car and attempt to store a weapon while your life was in danger, due to warning shots being fired at your vehicle, and orders to leave. This would've violated rule 3.18, however you didn't get to store anything so I will leave it off, other than that it violated rule 3.4 as you put your life in needless danger by exiting the vehicle. In addition, I feel that @jbooling's conduct in OOC after one of the incidents constitutes disrespectful behaviour, so that will be added onto the reasoning of their ban extension.
Why should this appeal be considered?: I want to apologize for the way I handled the situation and for making the action request in the first place. After looking back at everything, I understand that even though I did not intend to be disrespectful toward MJ or the staff, the way I approached the situation came across as argumentative and confrontational.
My intention when I asked in OOC about my F6 reports was to understand why I felt like they were not being addressed, but I realize that there was a better way for me to handle that concern. I should have gone through the proper channels without bringing my frustration into OOC.I also want to apologize for the situations involving the 3.4 violations. At the time, I had my own reasoning for why I ran and for what happened at the gas station, but I understand that regardless of my intentions, my actions can still be viewed differently from the perspective of the staff reviewing the situation.
Regarding the gas station clip specifically, I was AFK until basically the last second of the clip. When I came back, I was getting out of my car and putting my gun into my trunk. I wasn't trying to get involved in the situation or defend myself against anyone. I understand that this may not change how the situation looked from the outside, but I wanted to clarify that I wasn't intentionally trying to break 3.4.I also recognize that making the dispute while I was frustrated was not the right way to handle things. I should have taken a step back instead of immediately challenging the decisions that were made. I respect the staff team and the work they put into handling reports and situations on the server. With that being said, I would like to respectfully ask if my ban could possibly be reduced. I understand that I was in the wrong for how I handled the situation, and I'm not asking for the punishment to simply be removed. I would just appreciate it if my circumstances and the fact that I am acknowledging my mistakes could be taken into consideration. I genuinely just want to have a fun time on the server and enjoy playing with everyone.
