Server Suggestion Reset

Suggestion Title: Reset
Suggestion Description: Fully reset the server and all progress set everybody back to square 1, no skill levels, no genes, no cars, no money, no missions done.

Why should this be added?:
- Feels like no point grinding anymore

What negatives could this have?:
- People who have a close connection to their ingame stuff will be pissy

What problem would this suggestion solve?: Might make the server more enjoyable again, i might be alone on this i havent really asked around.

Though this would be fun for some people who feel bored and unattached to their character, this could never be done as people who worked to get all the things they have would quit in mass

Pretty certain this has already been suggested and denied multiple times before. You say that there's no point grinding anymore but surely there's loads to actually grind in-game such as the job ranks for better pay & perks, organisation leaderboards as there's multiple categories you could work towards, and more. Or hell, even set yourself a personal goal like, collecting X amount of a specific item. A reset is definitely not needed, especially given the history and attachment people have with PERP who've stuck around for ages like myself.

How is it fun for everyone else to lose months of progress and items when it's not even a problem, people will get rich again quick anyways (looking at you, the unemployed...), you might just be burnt out, maybe have a developer completely wipe your account data if you want a proper reset but I see no sufficient reason for everyone to go through that

I don’t think that would be as satisfying as everybody being reset and having to grind and base and make shops again to sell items to level up their character.

With that said I didn’t really expect this to be accepted ofc I just wanted to hear if I am alone in this idea about resetting because I think it would be interesting and quite fun.

If you didn't expect for it to be accepted and just wanted to gauge the idea of how the community would feel about a reset, surely a discussion post rather than a suggestion post would've been more appropriate?

See the idea has been suggested so many times. But i feel like there should be an option to fully reset yourself to square 1 so you can still latch onto that feeling of having to grind maybe. Am not sure

You can get most of the way there by selling all your cars and giving away your items if you really want to. Forcing players to reset their progress however due to events they cannot control is just bad game design as far as I'm concerned. Its the only reason I don't play rust despite quite enjoying the game

Such a crazy idea, but its not a bad one. The server pre being banned was stale, repetitive and predictable. I feel a great reset might just be the cure.
I understand the concerns people have about their belongings and how hard theyve all worked, however these items are permanent as it is anyway, they depend on the server being alive to exist, a reset is just bringing that day closer. I think this would be wonderful long term for the server, weve just never had anyone brave enough to suggest it.

What would a reset encourage most people aren't enjoying the server because they have alot of things lol? The majority of people with millions worth if inventory are the ones you see on this server 24/7
