4GB is the lowest of lows, if I remember correctly that's still 32 bit. Check what motherboard you have, if it has dual channel support then I can give you a link for a ram kit

I believe I do have dual channel support. my thing is 64 bit, my motherboard is ASRock 990fx extreme 3

Now I just need your current CPU aswell as GPU, not all RAM speeds fit with your cpu but are compatible with your motherboard

My CPU is AMD FX-4100, which I'm going to be upgrading to a AMD FX-9590 later on, and my GPU is GTX 760 4GB(Windforce, Gigabyte)

Remember to not pair your old ram with the new one as they wont be compatible. Check which slots of your ram are for dual channel (mostly colored anyways e.g. red)

Well I won't be upgrading to that cpu straight away, so should I still get that what you recommend for my current specs?
