Also agree with this, but it’s the same with any rule, if either party decides they aren’t in the mood to follow said rule then the victim can just F6 it. That being said there would need to be slightly different rules for Civ & PD.

I’ve also made a suggestion regarding this topic before, something NEEDS to change. The roleplay when it comes to a hostage situation is absolutely appalling, whereas the rest of the server in terms of situations is usually to a high standard. Couldn’t agree more Tyrone:)

Once again, my suggestion has nothing to do with “not allowing gun fire”. And based on your last couple of comments you are saying the PD are the majority issue for why hostage situations go wrong? What’s your thoughts on the clip linked in this original post then?

The whole purpsoe of holding a hostage is that you SHOULD'VE taken that hostage for a reason, wether that be to get your friends out of jail or get some form of ransom. Whatever it may be there should be a reason, not just because you 'Want a shootout'.

It was a suggestion from a previous game that I have played. Not my actual suggestion. The whole reasoning behind this suggestion is to get MORE roleplay into hostage situations. If you can look at the clip linked in my original post and see nothing wrong with it then somethings gone wrong...

"Negotiations off"...? It's really quite easy to enforce.

Right I do get what your saying but the rules suggested wouldn't give a benefit to either side? Negotiations off, grace period. Fight. Free passage? Chase them after (which happens already im sure).
