The alternative I can think of is holding it like you hold weapons in passive mode. Unfortunately adding new hold types is not possible so it needs to be held with an existing one.

I really like the night map. Having proper lighting during night is beautiful. It being night however for a whole day gets a bit tiring for me, so I don't mind the 4 days gap in between.
