Welcome to the community Adam. I myself have played Santos as a newbie and may I say people barely help you there. Anyways, I guarantee you you'll recieve a lot more help here whenever you ask for it. We even have a Help chat :o! Just type /help in-game and then ask your question and hopefully someone will answer you. Also, over here we call newbies "Sweatervests" so you should probably get used to that ;).
 
I hope you get the chance to appreciate the difference in roleplay on here, compared to Santos. One of the major differences I saw is that rules around staying in character are actually enforced :D
 
I mean Santos can't be that bad, surely?

They have pretty lights on their cars. We don't have pretty lights.
