Description of the idea: Imagine Forza Horizon's tuning, but for PERP.
Why should this be added? (pros):
- Better tuning than having specifically set tuning via upgrades.
- Choose what exactly you'd like for your car in terms of performance and aesthetics.
- "adds realism".
- Make "sleepers" and drive absolute street weapons.
- Engine upgrades and such should be priced appropiately. For example, if you were to engine swap the Mini Cooper, it would understandably cost a lot as in real life you'd have to consider doing total conversions, finding or making parts that will actually fit.
- Potential candidate for "player owned economy" contribution.
- Feature to order like bodykits and such via the delivery driver or have a store inside the car dealership to buy kits?
- Craft kits such as spoilers that require like... a lot of plastic, a few wrenches etc for a discounted price.
- Spoilers and splitters having an actual purpose other than being aesthetic.
- Require the player to monitor the modified engine, for example a phone app which monitors your fluid levels etc, so the player would have to keep maintaining their vehicles so they won't explode or have a drop in performance.
- In order to be nerfed, vehicle is more likely to be damaged easily from crashes, shots, etc.
What negatives could this have? (cons):
- Time costly to code.
- PERP being too small for such a complex idea or system.
- Really fast mini-coopers.
*Other additions:
- Ability to sell bodykits or parts that would require a specific crafting skill to produce.
- RP as Upgarade JDM parts garage.
