Can someone explain this offside rule to me I am confused and this will keep me up at night

When you're on the oppositions half you can not pass the ball to another player‚ if he is behind the second to last player of the opposition team. But the ball was passed from Fabinho (Liverpool) to Benzema (Real)‚ the ref counted it as an offside because benzema was in an offside position‚ but it doesn't work that way when its Liverpool giving the ball to Real Madrid. = Shit ref‚ liVARpool in the mud.

Benzema was offside when the ball was passed as he is nearer the opponents goal line than 2 of the opposition players and the ball, when the ball was played (the only liverpool player being Andy Robertson) However if the ball is INTENTIONALLY played from an opposition player it would not have been offside. But the ball WAS passed to him from an opposition player (Fabinho) the ball was deemed to have been played accidentally, whilst the rule states the ball must be played intentionally. This is heavily debatable as Fabinho was tackling the ball to retrieve possession, which personally I would deem as an intentional piece of play.
