Why were you banned/blacklisted?: I received a community-wide ban for using the N-word in the shoutboxes.
Why should this appeal be considered?: This happened a while ago. I was acting childish with a friend in the shoutbox. We live in the same house and both play Perpheads. Then I went downstairs. He then typed the N-word in the chat, after which I was banned by a staff member.
My initial reaction was anger because I found it absurd that I was banned for his actions. However, I was completely blind to my own behavior. That day, I had already built up a reputation for being annoying and was surprised that I wasn't believed. I should not have participated in such activities that can be very hurtfull. Additionally, I left my computer on in my room when I could have locked it. I was very good at pointing out others' mistakes but blind to my own. I myself was responsible for that message and no one else. It was sent from my computer and my account, and I will not hide behind someone else. I understand why I was punished and will make sure this doesn't happen again.
However, I hope I get the chance to play on the server again. I miss the nice people I met on the server, and I would regret it if I could never be part of this community again. I deliberately waited a while to write an apology because I believe I deserved to be punished for my behavior. I cannot judge my own case, but I hope you see it the same way.
I promise that if you give me another chance, you will get a more motivated and respectful player in return. I will strive to make a positive contribution to the community.
