Why should this appeal be considered?: I tried to make an appeal back in February as I felt I was excessively punished for a genuine accident. The appeal was denied because I couldn't provide evidence. When I tried to extract the demo through Gmod all it did was crash. I'm trying one last time to get a reduction/unban.
Long story short (Not that long, I've only had about 2 hours on the server total) - I joined the server, went through the tutorials etc, and became a firefighter. Went to one fire which was at a bank or shop, then drove off down the road. As I'm coming up to a right-hand turn, 2 players run out from a multi-storey carpark which was on my left. I did not have time to stop, I hit them. I immediately stopped the firetruck, said "oh shit" or something in chat, and was about to handle it in RP by calling EMS or whoever. No chance. No sooner had I got out of the truck, I was being lifted up onto the roof and shouted at by Scrabuz. I tried to explain myself, but he showed no sign of even reading what I was saying. He seemed to be enjoying himself, just kept repeating "you fucked up, you fucked up". After this, he said something like "Come back when you're ready to RP" and banned me for 6 months.
In retrospect, I suppose I could have been driving more carefully/slowly. Everyone knows Gmod driving is terrible. But I maintain that I didn't mean to hit anyone or break any rules at all. I still think I should have been listened to and the fact that I was so new should have been taken into account. Because I can't get demos I can't appeal the validity of the ban, so I apologize for driving carelessly.
Additional Information: I had a look at the ban list on the website. I believe my punishment is excessive given the fact that I had only just joined the server and had no prior run-ins with staff. Most people are getting 1-2 weeks in the case of clear, intentional rule breaking, including mass rdm. My case wasn't intentional at all. I didn't spend however long downloading all the content/addons just to get instantly banned for running 2 people over. So this is my request to convert this ban to "time served" or whatever as I've already been banned since early February. I think it's more than enough time to be banned for an accident.
