Why were you punished?: 3.4 - Took the mayor hostage without a valid reason, accepted AR.
Why should this appeal be considered?: Hello dear Exrobite,
As you’ve probably noticed, I’ve been trying to reach you for several days—via private DM on the forum, on Discord, and I even added you to the forum chat with @attacker1983 , @Modo0 , and myself. Maybe you’ve read the messages, maybe not—but I’d like to refer to them again, because only yesterday I realized that the proper way to contact you is through an appeal. I fully understand now why private messages aren’t considered when it comes to bans. That’s completely fair, as such matters don’t belong in private chats.
I’ve had a lot of time to think over the past four days, and I’ve tried really hard to show you—and the whole team—that I’m genuinely sorry for exploiting the Mayor that night without a proper reason. At the time, I honestly didn’t realize what I was doing. I just wanted to create a fun RP situation with her and my friend. I even explained it to her, and you can clearly hear that in my demo. If you’d like, I can record and send you a clip as proof that I’ve been truthful from the moment the AR was submitted.
I understand why the others were upset, and I completely understand your position as a team to take action. The issue is, the others didn’t know this whole thing was somewhat coordinated with the Mayor. I had told her we just wanted to create a fun hostage RP with the police. She could have said no—but she played along, probably unsure whether she was allowed to. That’s totally understandable. Still, I acted wrongly, and I admit that. I should have clarified things better, and I should have known the rules about when you’re allowed to kidnap the Mayor or take them as a hostage. If it had been a regular player, none of this would have escalated the way it did—and it wouldn't have ended the RP session.
My friend and I started the situation impulsively. We wanted to end it peacefully—no one getting hurt or anything like that. It was meant to be a fun hostage RP with the police, something we had never done before. Since we were on good terms with the Mayor at the time, we thought, “Why not act out a cool hostage scenario?” We didn’t think things through. The Mayor herself didn’t seem to know that being taken hostage was against the rules either—especially since taxes were only at 1%.
I sincerely apologize to anyone whose time or enjoyment might have been disrupted—if that was even the case. After all the LOOC messages, I didn’t want to escalate the situation further. By then, I already realized that the whole situation wasn’t rule-compliant, so we chose to surrender, gave up our items voluntarily, and cooperated with the arrest.
I kindly ask you, Exrobite, to consider giving me another chance regarding this minor offense, which thankfully didn’t cause any serious harm. I promise I’ll never act impulsively like that again. Even the guys who reported me said they understand where I was coming from and think it’s unfortunate how long I’ve been banned—especially since I already admitted my mistake in-game and helped resolve the situation peacefully.
If you'd like, I can gladly record and send you the full situation from my demo, so you can better understand everything I’ve described here. I assure you I’m telling the full truth.
Once again, I sincerely apologize, and I hope you’ll give me the opportunity to rejoin V6 and play alongside my friends.
I’d truly appreciate a positive response and hope we can find a good solution.
I truly hope you can see that I’m putting a lot of effort into this and that every word I’ve written comes from the heart and is meant sincerely.
Additional Information: And of course, I sincerely apologize for not submitting an official appeal from the beginning and instead trying to reach out to you privately.
