Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Apology
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Lhealey05
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: Permanent
Your Steam Name: sunrnr
Your Roleplay Name: Rodger Peperek
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:90584839
Why were you punished?: Cheating
Why should this appeal be considered?: In the game, there was this guy who was being racist towards me just because I’m Turkish. He also speaks Turkish himself, so he’s probably an immigrant Turk. Anyway, while I was minding my own business in Hicktown, this guy named Ati attempted a raid on our house, taking a police officer hostage. Then he died, and his friends got caught by the police.
Not even half an hour later, they came back again to raid, and while I was AFK with no weapon in my hand or on my back, they came inside and killed me. This was already a rule violation — them coming back twice in a row and directly killing me made me really angry.
On top of the racism and other issues, I made a childish decision out of frustration: I turned on cheats just to ruin this guy’s fun. I only entered his base, killed him, and left without touching anything. Of course, no matter what, just the fact that I cheated is enough to get me banned. But being provoked in chat, them breaking the rules by attempting two raids in a row, and killing me unarmed had already pushed me past my limit.
After I killed Ati, the police arrested me. I went AFK, and when I came back, I saw the demo request screen. I accepted it, and once the upload finished, I left the game. I didn’t tamper with the demo files in any way. I know you probably won’t believe me, but I genuinely didn’t touch them — it’s already very obvious that I killed him with cheats, and I knew what would happen. I didn’t bother with the demo at all.
The only reason I did this was because of everything that happened. On top of that, this Ati guy also sent the clip of the incident from his own POV on medal.tv, and in that clip, he’s metagaming — he’s informing his friends over Discord while his phone and TeamSpeak are not open.
