Why should this appeal be considered?: Ban Apology
As discussed with Scoot on discord I had to wait 1.5 months (and or a significant time) however I did really want to push this message out.
If this gets me unbanned or not is not important what is important that this gets out to the player that I’ve offended with my actions.
However most importantly apologize for the reason of that ban which is that of my own actions which were unacceptable. It was vulgar, unnecessary and does not promote a safe environment of what “Perp” strives to be. It should be a place for everyone, and I regret saying what I have said. So, to the player, and to anyone else I have offended of what I said I am sorry, and it truly is the consequences of my own let’s just say it as it is, stupid choices.
To start with, my time away was a time of reflection in where I thought about how much excessive negativity certain words, and actions could have on someone in which it all comes down to treat people how you want to be treated. And as much as that may seem like a simple approach and potentially even a “cop out” it really is great guiding philosophy however also one people including myself often forget. What my personal goal was with my time being away is to ensure I don’t forget that, and post ban or if the ban is listed will be to step into the server with a completely different attitude compared to what I had at the time and most importantly think twice before any actions which should be second nature however this didn’t happen.
Furthermore, I’ve took it upon my self (a bit late) is to read up on the server rules and really try and apply them as I had a look at my previous ban/blacklist record which is also often related to either being somewhat devious and that of negligence. That is something I will tackle with my comeback on the server.
I really enjoy my time on Perp and even with the breaks in between (unrelated to bans) it is something I miss. I could be playing any other game, but I miss the human factor which makes this server so dynamic and all the fun moments especially as delivery driver trying to get back financially after gambling all my money away or looking away for a milli second because my meth lab got just a tad bit hot. But that previously mentioned human factor is important to remember as what I did was far from it. It is simply not done to say what I said.
I don’t want to be a negative person, nor do I want to make someone else have a bad day or even feel reluctant to play on this community as for someone reason it has always grasped me since 2015, and I would hope someone else would have the same experience in the best ways possible. So again, a most sincere sorry to anyone I have offended or ever had to hear being called a slur due to their sexual orientation.
If my ban stays it stays, however I think its important to take accountability, and hereby would like to demonstrate that. So yet again (that’s a lot of again’s) I am sorry and can assure you it won’t happen again. I will take actions and educate my self in being more inclusive.
To make a long story short, my apologies for saying what I’ve said. It is the first time saying it on the server and it will be the last time ever using the word. Words have impact I don’t know what someone else is going through behind the screen and it is hateful with no place for it in the world.
Personal note for player I have offended:
Moreover, I would like to dedicate this to the player who I’ve offended. I don’t know who you are but as with the previously slab of text I am sorry for the words I’ve used. It was never intended for it to be personal or do I hate you for your sexual orientation. What I said in the moment was edgy, and if it carries any weight, it was said without actual hate. However it conveys hate and I wish I could take it back, I have no idea how it made you feel but I can’t imagine it must’ve been positive, and you play a game to enjoy in a fun and exciting way.
I am very sorry, and I hope I did not have any impact on your wellbeing.
And to Scoot:
I know you’ve explicitly told me to wait 1.5 months but my last apology which I made less than an hour after the ban was not sufficient for what I’ve done. I have no expectations with this, but I would hope this show my perspective of the situation and that the person I’ve offended sees this and hope it alleviates any worries or stress caused.
Additional Information: Again no its not its sufficiently under my ban time 17 days compared to the 1.5 months but wanted to really reinforce my apology to the player.
