Why were you punished?: 2.5, 3.4, 3.21 - User gunpointed a roadcrew worker to prevent their friends PPS truck from being impounded. Once this did not go their way, they proceeded to break character multiple times. // Extended: 6.3 - Ban Evading // Extended by Headline: 3.2 - Metagaming
Why should this appeal be considered?: I am writing this apology to sincerely say sorry for my actions that led to my ban. I fully accept responsibility for what I did and understand why I was punished so heavily. Threatening / gunpointing the roadcrew worker over a vehicle impound was completely out of line and excessively ruined their experience for something that wasn't a major personal loss or valid escalation. It wasn't fair roleplay.
Holding someone at gunpoint in that scenario put my own character at massive risk of death or long prison time for basically no realistic gain or benefit. No normal person would risk that much over a friend's work truck, and I understand that now after reading over all of the rules a few times. Once it went wrong, I was raging out of character and broke character multiple times instead of staying in character and accepting the consequences. That ruins the server's RP atmosphere for everyone, and I should've never done it. I used and acted on information that wasn't available to my character IC, which gave unfair advantages. I've since removed everyone from Discord and plan to strictly utilize ingame sectors to communicate with whomever I may need to. Trying to get around the ban with another account was immature and disrespectful to the staff and community rules. It only made the original issue worse, and I should've never done that. I can assure you I will never ban evade again and take my punishment on the chest like a man. I understand my appeal is early, but I've waited a few months and hope I can get another chance to play.
I have had time to reflect since the ban, and I deeply regret how I acted. I was frustrated in the moment and let my emotions get the better of me, but that's no excuse. These rules exist to keep the server fun, realistic, and fair for everyone, and I clearly violated that. I have read the rules again (especially sections 2 and 3) and watched some Perpheads videos / studied ban apologies to better understand FearRP, character consistency, and have also taken the time to read over the forums to understand why metagaming/evading hurts the community. I promise that if given another chance, I will:
Follow 3.4 properly and never risk my character's life or freedom without a realistic reason and escape plan.
Accept RP consequences instead of breaking character or getting toxic.
Stay strictly IC and avoid any OOC/meta involvement.
Never attempt to evade a punishment again.
I really enjoy the server when it's played properly, and I miss the community and the RP opportunities. I would be grateful for a second chance to come back and play by the rules properly.
