Why were you punished?: 2.5 - User shot a player trough a door when in a raid without knowing if the person was armed or not.
Why should this appeal be considered?: I would like to address an incident that took place during a raid on a cabin in the woods. We had clear knowledge that the opposing group was holding up in a specific room, as we had previously encountered them there. Before taking any aggressive action, we instructed them to open the door and warned them that failure to comply would result in us using force. Despite this warning, they chose not to respond, and as a result, I opened fire on the door, which led to the death of one of the individuals inside.
At the time, I was unaware that this action was against the rules. My understanding was based on previous encounters where similar actions had been taken against us multiple times, and I mistakenly assumed this was an accepted practice. However, I now fully understand that this was a rule violation, and I sincerely regret my actions. Moving forward, I will ensure that I adhere strictly to the rules to prevent any similar incidents from occurring again.
To the best of my knowledge, the individuals we raided did not suffer any significant losses. However, if they did lose any valuable items or progress due to my actions, I am more than willing to compensate them to make things right.
