Why were you punished?: 3.4 - User raided City Hall with only a katana, unnecessarily risking his life and freedom.
Why should this appeal be considered?: After taking the time to consider my actions Throughout the day I would like to apologise for my actions. My whole goal with using a katana to kill the mayor was to promote RP and have a good time with everyone I should have made an F6 to confirm if using only a katana was allowed My failure to do so has meant multiple staff members had to waste time on a situation i should have checked about beforehand
I was under the impression (wrongly and upon reflection it makes sense) that It is acceptable to use a melee weapon (specifically a katana a long reaching sword) for raiding purposes if done sensibly (hiding towards the back of the group and letting people with guns go in first for example) which i felt at the time would fall inline with rule 3.4 "Players must take measures to avoid their death at all times." to which i was trying to take as many measures as possible(I now understand i should have taken the most important measure of taking a firearm for a worst case scenario), I didn't die in the raid and had in fact survived at least an hour following this situation
Upon finding out i was wrong about this i would like to deeply apologise to anyone whom I negatively impacted and will endeavour to do better in the future (From now on I will check myself if there is secret service for instance and also making sure to take another weapon with me if i am using melee to finish someone off)
I apologise as well to @The Peak and @Lhealey05 for the time they took to hold an admin sit with me and listen to me trying to justify my actions I apologise it seemed like I wasn't listening I was just trying to explain my understanding of the rule and should have listened when you informed me that it was wrong and for that i am sorry,
I would like to thank the person who made the f6 on me for holding me to a high standard as an experienced member of this community
