Why were you punished?: Marking a body as murder

Why should this appeal be considered?: I've been a medic for a long time and I made one mistake. Somebody told me the person was murdered so I marked the body as being murdered. I didn't disconnect while the report was open you can check logs I didn't disconnect until at least an hour after I marked that body. I don't know why it honestly wasn't just a warning instead of a 5 day ban and 3 week medic blacklist. I like playing Perpheads but the bans are honestly kind of excessive, and every time I get banned I am never asked my side of the story, like there's never an admin sit, I just try to load in and I'm banned. Like I genuinely don't know why somebody couldn't have just told me hey, you marked that body as being murdered, don't do that again etc....

After checking logs, you did disconnect with an open report, and it took you way less than an hour to disconnect (about 3 minutes since you issued the remark, and about 2 and a half after the F6 was opened with you). It is your responsibility to stay tuned to F6 reports being opened, as that is the place where you get to share your side of the story. Also, the people next to the body were repeatedly telling you not to get DNA and call the cops, a request which you repeatedly ignored, and then left saying "I marked it as murder" despite having no evidence of that being the case and having been told otherwise.

As for the ban length, there are several components to it. First and foremost, you have already been punished for 3.20 and 4.1 recently, and second, making things much worse, one of those bans involved feeding emergency services false information to get innocent people in trouble, which is exactly what you did once again.

Another important detail is that issuing a remark that is not properly investigated and, in this case, also false, is a crime (hence why you were punished with 4.1). You disconnected less than 10 minutes after breaking the law, which constitutes another 3.20 break, but I decided to be lenient and not further increase the ban length due to that.

Both the ban and the blacklist are staying in place, but you may issue a blacklist apology once half of it has elapsed if you wish.
