Why should this appeal be considered?: I'm aware this will likely be denied but still worth a try.
- My statement in shoutbox was directly in response to someone taunting me, after I defended ALOO89. DemonZ was making fun of him for his English skills, which in my head is deplorable behaviour and deserves to be called out.
- I have received only three 1.1 punishments in close to two years.
- I make an effort to be pleasant to everyone I interact with, assuming they show a similar level of respect. This can be attested to by a large majority of the people I interact with.
- I consistently try to help players with any issues they may express in help/OOC chat, this can be shown via my logs.
I'm aware that meeting disrespect with disrespect doesn't remedy the situation, but when I speak only in response to disrespect and remain the only person punished - to such an extent as well - it feels like justice is not being reached in the way that it should.
DemonZ has proven to be a consistent instigator with a very poor attitude, as can be attested to by a large majority of the people that interact with him. Moving forward the way I deal with this will improve and I won't respond to such instigations in any way, but this seems to have been majorly overlooked.
I genuinely do my best to positively contribute to the community where I can, and to receive such extensive punishment for a single incident which was directly instigated by the "victim" seems like a miscarriage of duties.
