Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Oddy
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 3 Days

Your Steam Name: imgonnabreakmymonitor
Your Roleplay Name: Dapper Doyle
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:11101

Why were you punished?: Because i was dealing with a issue in f6 with said moderator and was mugged whilst dealing and was asked to make a order to my house.

Why should this appeal be considered?: I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to respectfully dispute the 3-day ban I recently received on the server. I understand that rules are important for maintaining the integrity of the community, and I want to explain my situation in the hopes of resolving this matter.

When I first joined the server, I was unaware of a specific rule that I inadvertently broke. Having participated in other servers, the rules surrounding "Not Responding to a admin after being told to try and order something (i was having issues with delivery app) while getting robbed + idling were different, which led to my misunderstanding. As soon as I became aware of the rule on your server, I immediately made sure to comply and adjust my behavior accordingly.

However, during the time when I was actively trying to fix my mistake and ensure that I was following the rules, my Wi-Fi unexpectedly went out. Upon reconnecting, I found that I had received a 3-day ban. This has left me feeling quite upset, especially because I had no intention of breaking any rules and was genuinely trying to make amends.

I fully understand the need for enforcement of server rules, but I kindly ask for your understanding in this case. Given that my violation was not intentional, and I was actively working to comply, I believe a 3-day ban might be too harsh under these circumstances. I would greatly appreciate it if you could reconsider the ban or at least offer an opportunity to discuss this further.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response and hope to continue participating in the server with a clearer understanding of the rules.

You were banned for the following:
"3.4 - The player failed to comply with orders given under gunpoint by two players."

You did disconnect for a split second, however you notified Oddy on discord then immediately came back which is perfectly fine. We just need to know whether or not you wish to continue disputing the validity of this ban as you're seemingly under the assumption that you were banned for simply disconnecting and not 3.4. (In which case, is a rule you’ve admitted to breaking in this dispute)

If you believe the ban length is excessive, make a staff complaint on @Oddy.

Thank you for the clarification. I was made aware of the rule in question when Oddy mentioned it to me. At the time of the incident, I didn’t realize that I was in violation of 3.4, but after discussing it with Oddy, I understand where I went wrong. I disconnected briefly and came back, which I thought was fine since I notified Oddy on Discord right away.

I’m not disputing the rule itself, but I just wanted to ensure there’s no misunderstanding regarding the reason for the ban. I do recognize the mistake and will make sure to comply with all rules moving forward.

However the ban length seems excessive, But i dont see the need to make a complaint on him as its not him that i want to dispute i am disputing my lack of knowledge before the matter that i then explained and tryed to fix- if i did not lose connection i wouldnt of been ban as i was only just made aware of the rule then was willing to comply wih the roleplay senario.

Thanks for your time and understanding.

We have logs that show when players disconnect or time out, and you manually disconnected yourself. However, as I mentioned above, Oddy banned you for rule 3.4 only, not for disconnecting which would fall under rule 3.20. Your ban was not for disconnecting.

Ultimately, it's your responsibility as a player to have read the rules before playing. Lack of knowledge regarding the server rules doesn't grant you a free get out of jail card.

I'd recommend you make a ban apology instead in hopes of getting unbanned early or having your length reduced, you've admitted to violating 3.4 multiple times in this dispute & you cannot dispute a ban due your own "lack of knowledge" as you phrased it.
