Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @Scoot
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 3 Days

Your Steam Name: Scrooge Mcduck
Your Roleplay Name: Jack Marly
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:511028600

Why were you punished?: 3.3, 3.4- User ran unrealistically side to side to avoid bullets then the user ran directly into the active shooter resulting in their death // Accepted AR

Why should this appeal be considered?: Sprinting up the stairs as a cop to kill a suspect isn't 3.4, because that's what cops are supposed to be doing. Is it strategically dumb? Maybe. It's definitely not 3.4 to push a shooter because then everyone who raids ever would be getting banned. Raiding PD? Cops have guns 3.4. Pushing into Slums 5? Crims have AK pointed at door, 3.4. Walking across the street? Cars can run you over 3.4.

Also, "In addition 3.4 was broken here as he actively ran into you while were shooting putting his life majorly at risk resulting in his death." Literally makes no sense and it's the most braindead take ever. The shots were being fired AFTER he had already started running. What did you want him to do? Turn around and run the other way? It sure looked like it was working considering most of the shots were missing.

3.3 is also false considering he sprinted in a fairly straight direction just doing a serpentine manuever to avoid the bullets. Sorry that you expect everyone to run in a straight line which also isn't realistic if you're trying to dodge bullets. Should also consider how aids sprinting is in game, and how it looks to someone observing said sprinting

Additional Information: I am not the person banned, just trying to get justice for a poor pistol cop being unjustly banned by a less than intelligent moderator

A dispute for another player is unconventional, but I will leave it for the admins to decide what they want to do about it. That being said I must remind you that the appeals section is not a place to disrespect members of the staff team, even if you disagree with a decision they made.

Whilst you have had previous encounters with rule 3.3, we have found that in this instance, it is not enough to be deemed unrealistic movement.

Additionally, whilst you may want to avoid running head on into gunfire, that is just about the job description of a Police Officer in Paralake.

Keep in mind though that intentional unrealistic movement (spinning, crouching whilst running etc.) will still be enforced and since you already have a record for it, you may receive a ban (again).
