Communication Banned
Punishment Type: Ban
Punishment Subtype: Server Ban
Appeal Type: Dispute[Evidence]
Which staff member issued the punishment?: @torbizzle @Locksmith
How long were you banned/blacklisted for?: 3 Days
Your Steam Name: maeen
Your Roleplay Name: Jaxon Pierce
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:39651776
Why were you punished?: 3.4 - User attempted to mug someone with their gun out, putting their life at significant risk for little to no reason. // Accepted AR
Why should this appeal be considered?: "you will be issued a 3-day ban, you are an experienced player and should know better: 3.4 - User attempted to mug someone with their gun out, putting their life at significant risk for little to no reason."
There was no significant risk if that man had complied with our requests. He had one automatic rifle and a Glock pointed at his HEAD. This man had no chance of survival if he tried to take safety off. If he had complied, I would have gotten up to 250.000$. This is a lot more than what you get for robbing the bank, which is a more significant risk.
Even in the rules, there is no mention of not being allowed to mug someone who has his gun in safety mode (Passive stance).
I am experienced, and this has never been an issue in the past, nor have I ever heard of a case where someone gets banned for mugging someone with his gun on safety.
The user who had his gun in passive would have died immediately if he had even tried to take off the safety.
5.1 Mugging and 3.4 Putting Your Life at Risk do not mention anything about this. Therefore, I have followed the rules to the best of my ability, and I have not, in fact, broken rule 3.4 as I had the upper hand.
If this is 3.4 then so should robbing the bank, and raiding properties, as officers are way more people, and inside properties, they have way heavier guns.
The benefit outweighs the risk. I would have gotten a good financial boost if this player followed my commands.
Additional Information: If this is disallowed, when did that change, and where is it stated in the rules?
This is not written anywhere as far as I can see. I have read through the rules, both alone, and with people who have been here for years, and we cannot find anything that suggests it is against the rules.
3.4 also states this:

- To not comply with reasonable orders given under the direct threat of a lethal weapon pointed at you, such as a mugging.
