PARALAKE POLICE DEPARTMENT
(NOW OPEN) Employee Satisfaction Survey - Q3 2024

Dear colleagues,

The new Office of the Chiefs of Department, in conjunction with the new Heads of Operations Services and Administrative Services, and Human Resources, have created a new style Employee Satisfaction Survey which is being trialled this quarter. This is because it was determined that the old style survey was not providing sufficiently meaningful data for the Senior Management Team to identify areas of improvement needed in the Department.

The new set of questions have been designed so as to help colleagues express how they are feeling and articulate themselves without having to think of a detailed written response. There are almost no written questions in this new survey. This means that while there are a lot more questions across multiple pages, the survey should only take around 15 to 25 minutes to complete.

The new style of questions will also mean that it will be far easier to track change and sentiment over time, to see which areas are either improving or falling behind. This is in the spirit of the Office of the Chiefs of Department’s “One Department” initiative.

The survey will be open until the 28th of October, where the results will be collated and provided in an announcement.

All survey responses are completely anonymous and the only mandatory question in the survey is to specify your current rank. All other questions are completely optional and it is up to you to decide which ones you would like to respond to - all we ask is that you answer them honestly.

Please note: we are no longer collecting names as part of the survey and as such there will be no specific contact on an individual level. The survey is also not a route for formally raising concerns of grievances - it is only intended to gather your view. If you are affected by the issues raised in this survey and wish to seek support please speak to Human Resources.

If you would like to participate in the Employee Satisfaction Survey, you can launch the Google Form (opens in a new tab). You can save and exit and return to finish the survey at any point between now and the 28th of October.

Kind regards,
Human Resources
on behalf of
Office of the Chiefs of Department
