I see no issues with this, in EvoCity back in 2013 we allowed this for situations such as bank robberies, 10k ticket and gas chamber, no problem.
It's nothing different to the person getting 10 years anyway.

The only real difference is NLR. While if you were arrested for 10 years you could seek revenge on the guy who got you arrested for example, with the gas chamber there is no chance due to NLR. But it's such a minor detail so it doesn't really matter anyway.
