i am trying to login in the server and when it says lua started it crashes and says this

There's probably an addon or lua script breaking a lua global. I recommend you unsubscribe from all addons, which you can do from the Addons tab in Garry's mod. To be on the safe side, it helps to fully remove and re-install Garry's mod after you've done this.

First; you should copy and save your config and data folders so you won’t have to redo any keybinds you have.
You need to remove most if not all of your addons, then uninstall and reinstall Gmod, then launch it through the 64Bit Chromium.

I had the same issue I unsubscribed from all my addons on the workshop and then deleted the game I then reinstalled garrys mod then verified my files and it worked if you want a run down of what I did message me on discord
