This is the areaportal messing up for whatever reason, it's supposed to increase performance by not rendering the inside while the door is closed. I believe this bug usually occurs if someone uses C2, or bombs to get rid of the door. I don't really know any fixes, but perhaps locking it and opening it again.

This is indeed due to an areaportal. When an areaportal is put inside a door to increase performance, it reads whether the door is open or not. When it is closed it doesn't render anything past the door.
Double doors are a bit tricky. They are supposed to open together so the areaportal probably only reads the state of 1 of the 2 doors. Lockpicking one of the 2 doesn't open both so by opening the right one, the areportal still thinks that the doors are closed (since it reads the state of the left one). This happens with C2 as well (Explosions in general can fuck up a lot of areaportals that are set to doors).
To fix it just open both of the doors.
