Suggestion Title: Remove fireaxe damage
Suggestion Description: Remove the fire axe damage from the firefighter. What is its actual purpose other than a means of mining considering they also have to behave under 3.4 and stay away from situations such as shootouts. If we're aiming for realism, we must also give the road crew wrench blunt damage.

Why should this be added?:
- QoL
- No more firefighter minging

What negatives could this have?:
- None that I've thought

What problem would this suggestion solve?: Eliminating a mildly common occurrence

Why don't we just remove Fire Dept completely. I became the Fire Chief grinded for months for what seems to be for nothing, literally this is what it feels like, we receive hardly any recognition for the work we do within the dept. let's just take more away from something that hardly has anything to begin with.

Why do you consider this a significant negative change for the fire department?

Because it significantly helps in rounding up all the jack asses who are nitrp offenders who want to minge rdm & not take the job seriously. if we take away the axe damage, they will just start running people over with the fire truck more frequently I feel.

I disagree with you, unfortunately. Like medics, firefighters should leave the scene, and radio for police/seek staff assistance as soon as possible as a realistic mean; the fire axe is not the solution

And to note the fire axe is used more times for killing players without a justifiable reason than "rounding up all the jack assess"

I'm not justifying people breaking 3.4 they should not be in an active situation unless it's called over radio its code 4, they also should not be using the axe in a defense manner at all unless they are in dire need to protect themselves from a rule breaker who is repeatedly rdming when you get killed by people with weapons who break the rules you lose XP while on duty & it's extremely annoying when this occurs.

I'm pretty certain this was removed for both medics and FD, now the message stated "You have died by a weapon, please follow 3.4" or a similar type message.

In relation to the actual suggestion, I personally agree, there isn't really much need for a fireaxe to do damage, as if your abiding by the rules, you would only need it 1 in 1000 situations, for example I have played a fair bit of firefighter, and have not actually needed to use the fireaxe as a legitimate self defense weapon, the only time I've used it was when I first joined and had killed another firefighter whilst awaitin a call. It simply just causes problems that imo doesn't need to be created.

Furthermore Obito, you state that it would make vehicle minging worse, however it wouldn't really see much of an increase, as if people want to minge, they can just go to RC to use an unstoppable tank of a vehicle that you can repair for free like they are playing a battlefield game, there is no real measures we can take to stop people from minging.

Also, at late night times when staff are not available to help you, you are just shit out of luck while they kill you & piss away your XP you've worked so hard to earn until staff get online and take care of it & even when they do they cant replenish the xp you've lost from it.

90% of the time, the people you are referring to have firearms, you will keep dying, so this isn't a point.

this is a +1 from me I hate the minging with fire axe but i dont want see it removed only the ability to damage and this is a good idea !

I think you are correct they did remove the XP loss, so that does void my opinion on the matter I do retract that statement. I guess in the end it doesn't really matter what I say about the topic.

this is a -1 from me i like that firefighters can defend themselfs with a weapon they should add a weapon like this to rc too

give the road crew wrench blunt damage
^ If this suggestion is denied I expect this to be implemented

I’m not quite sure why firefighters got axe damage beyond ‘realism’ and could take it or leave it to be honest - I have not witnessed the damage mechanic being used in a rule-abiding way in a while except for the rare self defense case where running away isn’t an option (usually against a rule breaking player)

Thank you for being useful contributing to the community with this suggestion. I would +1 & upvote this if it wasn't already approved, I used to complain about this all the time in ooc when I'd get rdmed playing as Firefighter.

I rest my case.

But no the axe has saved the lives of many people when used properly. I have not gotten yelled at for using it to defend my life or other peoples lives. It helps with minges and making a point, i have been able to ge people to step back without killing them due to the fact it can do damage. The minges that spam kill with the axe get banned anyway so they arent a problem after the first time.

I specifically remember this was added because the community thought it would be funny.

Thank you for supporting my thesis that this is not a common occurrence
