I have done some commands recommended on the forums to boost FPS and they turned everyone's tops white, if you have any fixes please tell me because I really don't like the tops.

i narrowed it down and it has got to do with one of these, my guess these
r_queued_decals 1
r_queued_post_processing 1
r_queued_ropes 1
r_threaded_client_shadow_manager 1
r_threaded_particles 1
r_threaded_renderables 1
r_fastzreject -1

specifically because they are multicore rendering commands which is known to cause isssues like these

Remove them from your cfg auto exec file and it should revert everything.
[DOUBLEPOST=1512595700,1512595563][/DOUBLEPOST]You sure you cleared your autoexec file and saved it?
[DOUBLEPOST=1512595855][/DOUBLEPOST]Make sure you restart your game after deleting them. That should work.

i dont know why but i feel bad lmao those are my commands now you wasting ur time trying to fix everything because of my guide sorry bro

Try 'mat_specular 0' do this in main menu tho because it can crash your game when you do it in-game.

To set all commands back to default, delete autoexec.cfg and config.cfg in your game files

Open autoexec.cfg (@Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\cfg) and make sure it's clear.
If that doesn't work:
Delete config.cfg
Copy config_default.cfg and rename one of the files config.cfg
(so you have a config file and a copy)
If none of that works^ delete gmod via steam and then delete the leftover folder. This always works for me when I fuck up gmod.

Try 'mat_dxlevel 90' , this is probably the fix. Again put this in console on launch because it might crash your game when you do it in-game
