By definition, murder is causing someone's death intentionally, and manslaughter is causing someone's death unintentionally and not taking steps to aid/get the person revived.
Both require the person to die, so at most, you can get arrested for attempted murder. Attempted manslaughter is not a thing.
Based on the definition of manslaughter, being death by another's negligence, if they are revived the thing you can typically charge them with instead would be 9.8 Reckless Endangerment.
