When creating a suggestion, actually try to think of negatives that could occur as a result of the suggestion, there are a few that sprung straight to mind upon reading this, these are
- Sweaters cops will mistakenly confiscate crowbars thinking they are an illegal item to have, which is not the case unless used in a crime
-You only need to confiscate one for a crime typically, however when you search someone, you take the entire stack of that item, as such this will result in crowbars that are not illegal to possess and haven't been used being taken.

What's the difference between confiscating weapons and crowbars?
There are a significant amount of situations in which weapons are considered to be illegal, such as illegal displayal/ transport, use in crimes etc, Crowbars are typically less defined in the situations that make them illegal to possess.

Ye if an SO has the ability to confiscate guns since he can search people why not the equipped ones it's not like an SO is braindead

I agree with others regarding this most likely causing problems with unlawful confiscation. I agree it does take a little extra time, but none more so than having a suspect drop a weapon for us to check if it has been fired etc, it's a part of the investigation and as such part of the RP with being a cop.

There is a internal discussion going on within SMT about if crowbars should be illegal by default or not, I will post the result here, and there result of that will determine the result of this suggestion

A senior officer is not a hard role to get by any means. Nor do you have to put in any effort to maintain it, nor do you need to have consistently outstanding policy knowledge for it.

CPL+ NEED to because that's well-known to be part of what they grade people on every single month when they do their required ORs, which is why they are far more trust-worthy.
