Suggestion Title: Let us start fresh on an alt account if we disable our main
Suggestion Description: If you require us to deactivate our accounts before we start using the alt they won't have any connections. By allowing us to do this on the forums or by talking to an NPC in game we won't have to bother any staff to have us do it for us.

A way deactivation could work would be that it places a temp ban on our main account and forces us to link the account we're gonna use. That way when we wanna switch back after a while we just deactivate the alt and activate our main again. You might wanna implement a cooldown of sorts of for example 1 hour so you can't place plants and then switch instantly and get 2 planters for free.

When starting an alt account you should not be given the "New Player" tag as long as you have over 72 hours.

Why should this be added?:
- This allows users to switch over to an alt and start all over again. It gets boring when you feel like you've "won" the game and have what feels like an infinite amount of guns and all the cars and money you could've wished for. With an alt you can start all over again by grinding your firearms level and money whilst also trying to get a car.

It doesn't really matter what account you play on as long as you can't play at both at the same time. Fun on the other hand is what matters and it might be fun to some people to start over on a fresh account.

What negatives could this have?:
- Might be a bit of work

What problem would this suggestion solve?: Users will be able to experience the grind again and have something to strive for without "pretending" to be broke.

This is very understandable, and I can easily see why it would get boring having a character with such an immense wealth that you just can't seem to get rid of. I would argue that this is already possible; an even more long-term and serious concept would be to simply transfer all your funds and items to my bank at 5782334. This would be a more permanent solution and would give you a target to work towards without having to deal with alternate accounts and the administrative overhead that that would incur.

So would this transfer all background information ( bans , warns ) To the other account

Or having something as a "multiple profile" system.

It's like in most games, you have saves etc except for Perp it works as if you're starting from the bottom and work your way up like you usually would.

I believe this is already being done on some servers but I'm unsure which.

Yep. Might be smart to require you to get prem on both accounts as it would make perp coins more costly + get the owners some more money. This is their business afterall.

I think a better idea would be to allow for the creation of more than one character on the same account and then when joining the server, you choose which character you wish to play as.

This way you don't have to mess around with multiple steam accounts, linking them so your ban record is shared, etc. because it would be the same account, just a different character. I think it would probably be easier to implement this way too.

Regardless, I think this is a good idea!

Yup :)

That might sound lame but considering your painpoint and trying to find the cheapest resolution; reseting your firearms level in return of 1+ genes (overriding max 15 genes limit) could be an interesting change.

Using an alt account would also mean that your current warning and ban record must be transferred over to let and staff know of your history. I think it would be better to have a profile system where you could just use your regular main account.

Of course all warnings and bans should work on all characters as you are essentially one person.

I also think there should be a limit on how many times you can freely switch between your characters. When you join the server you should have the option which character to use after spawning in and then after server reset you will then be able to choose another.
Second characters should also probably only have access to limited selection of ranks for the PD because I can imagine someone crazy enough would be willing to fill two high ranking positions within the PD. Either you give them their usual rank on your main or do a separate profile with maximum rank of Officer with no other permissions.
Also because Trainers wouldn't really be fancy training someone for a second time who already has TFU.

I think that a wipe option would be less convoluted. Either automated or through a forum request, having the possibility to fully wipe your character in case you want to seems more reasonable than an account transfer system.

Like @Vollgas said, surely it would just be easier to reset your character rather than an alt?

Just make an NPC option with a few more hoops to jump through to make sure no one does it by accident (we are all stupid)

People regret deleting stuff after some time they have spent cooling down through whatever phase they went. Also other people who have gained access to accounts that know about this feature can irreversibly destroy progress if they know how to do it. Unless there is some actual verification process involved and not just a few simple button presses this can be pretty bad IMO.

Also the usual "my brother wiped my account pls restore".

What about simply an option that once you acquire a certain amount of wealth, whether in items or money, you could exchange it for very rare items or vehicles?

Not everyone cares about rare items. I certainly don't. Like I just wanna be able to grind up again and start from scratch without losing all my items permanently. How they wanna allow me to do it doesn't matter as long as it's an option. So if they wanna let me select different characters or to allow me to play on an alt account that doesn't really matter to me as long as I can start from scratch without losing everything I have on my main character.

Craft 200 unlabelled chests, place all your weapons or whatever you want to keep into a couple of them and then put them all in your storage. You will still keep your items but you'll never find them in your storage, problem solved.

Understandable, though this would help the ingame economy by a bunch and would give you something to grind for all over again.

ah change it to Let me since you want to start from 0 i dont think i want to grow and start crafting shit guns to get 125 etc
