Randomly when playing Gmod at stretched res, the game causes my GPU to crash with the following event viewer code:

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load.
Device: ROOT\DISPLAY\0000

What GPU do you have, what driver version are you currently on and what steps have you already taken to fix this issue?
3060 12gb version, 576.52, I have:

1) DDU'd the gpu, reinstalled an older version, then returned to the newest one
2) Changed the slot of the GPU from the 1st to the 2nd slot on my B550 Aorus Elite V2
3) Cleaned out the parts

I believe I should stop playing stretched on the game's engine that's as old as me, but we'll see if it makes a difference.

Can you share the minidumps (.dmp) files? You can google where you can find those, they provide more insight about the cause behind the crash.

why always meeeee

It could be that DX9 is just a buggy piece of shit for its age, please try playing on native resolution with DSR disabled in the Nvidia control panel and disable all overlays like Discord and even Steam overlay.

My 5080 doesn't like this game either but so far it's only for instant replays being a bit broken.

That's what I'm planning on doing, expect I'm trying out setting my resolution from nvidia control panel to stretched (1440x1080) and I'll see the results.
If not, I'll swap to native and see if that works, it's just i prefer stretched to native. I love what tarkov did with aspect ratio and you being able to forcefully change the stretch, but gmod is just too old and doesn't work that well.
