Is my computer fucked?

tried the following;

Gmod
DayZ
Arma 3
Prison Architecht
Unturned

2015 called, they want their games back.

Fr tho, reading everything in here, sounds like your GPU might be cooked or one of the ports are broken. Did you drop it or handle it rough at some point? Even dropping/throwing it on to the bed could be bad. If you have the option, I'd go see a repair shop, see if they can locate the issues more specifically. All we can really do is guess.

Threw it against my wall when I got raided by @ALOO89 for the 25th time in 2 hours.

All jokes aside, I think you are right that it’s a cooked GPU. I do have a local repair shop I’ll take it to at some point, just not hopeful

They should definitely be able to locate the problem more specifically. Maybe you are lucky and it's just a loose connection somewhere. Worst case, it's the GPU and it's cooked. Did you buy it from a second-hand store/reseller or private?

As you can probably tell, I think my computer is fucked.

To start, my specs are as follows;

Before anyone comes along and says 'JUST GET A PC', i have a laptop for a reason!
Suck your mother.

I have had the laptop for around 3 months with little to no problems, however, the past few days things have turned sour.

Every single game I play crashes. The crashes are usually around 5 mins into the game and result in a black screen then return to the application not responding. I have had one instance of the blue screen of sadness which restarted and was gone. I have to close the application and everything is simply unplayable.

I have played around and discovered that the reason for the crashes is the GPU

The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\Video5
Error occurred on GPUID: 100

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

Essentially, my PC thinks the GPU has disconnected.

I have tried multiple things including backdating my GPU drivers, full clean install etc.

As its a laptop am i doomed or is there more i can do?
Try contacting the brand/shop etc to get it fixed or getting a refund. I personally also have a gaming laptop from MSI for about a year now and its going pretty good im not having any problems with it. So i reccomend trying to contact the shop you bought it off and try to get it fixed

No point if you don't really have a reason to especially with the risks around it
I remember my Software engineering teacher said the same thing to me a couple years back. Why is it that people only recommend it for new and not old pcs?

Newer motherboards have dual bios/flashback options, older ones do not. Meaning that if your power goes out or something goes wrong during a bios update, it could render the whole motherboard dead beyond repair

Dual BIOS. If main chip gets corrupted you can recover using the 2nd chip.

BIOS updates today come with a lot of security fixes and microcode updates necessary for installing new CPUs or even improving performance. They're not that nerve wrecking, just let your PC do its own thing and just don't update during a thunderstorm or something.

Little update for the loyal readers of my technical nightmare…

The laptop has now completely given up & when I turn her on, all I get is a nice RGB keyboard with a black screen
