will i got arrested for holding my phone while driving undear law 12.11 and its first time her that i can go to jail for 12.11 holding my phone while driving


what im trying to say there is no way to put the phone away and drive the car (the game dont allow me to do it ) and i think its so dumb to jail someone for driving car while having phone

also its roaming the game play like there is no way that civ can put hes phone away and talk to other players

anyway i want ask would it be ok to add airpods for civ or something like that so they can talk throw it ?
 
honestly, I wish a GPS nav UI was added, but considering how many accidents I have seen caused by people driving their cars and talking on TS, I think it's a pretty decent law.
not to mention very realistic. in my state[NoDak] you get upwards of $500 fine for first offense, and it can escalate to a felony for reckless driving if you have a cellphone out while driving.

focus on driving while you're driving, then use your phone while you're not driving?
If you're worried about getting arrested or just ticketed over driving while using your phone under 12.11 (because you're distracted by the phone to some extend), then simply don't use it while driving.
If you're on the phone to do illegal shit, then you can't really complain

its not really funny to jail someone for phone cant tell you how many players drive with phones and the problem there is no alternative ( people come her to play not spend time on jail for holding phone)

imo this is a case of realism doesn't = fun, sure its realistic but its just such a nuisance to be arrested because youre on ts. like buddy im not gonna go flying into a family of five 150 mph just because i wanna know where my org is basing.

Skill issue put your phone away and don’t be lazy and put your gun in the trunk. It literally solves this whole problem lol it’s funny to me how many of you are salty when you get arrested for breaking the law

I mean you fled on foot which is a rule break running from PD over a minor offense then you said stuff in OOC and now we are here. You broke the law and got punished for it simple as that. Im failing to see the point of this thread

what a shitty move pulling someone over pretending to be rp that he use he's phone while u do it to confiscate gun to benefit from it?
 
This is fine but shouldn't be searched for it. Under law 3.7 it says you can only search someone detained when it is believed he has something on him which was used in the crime. Same goes for a vehicle search. As Law 12.11 does not have anything to do with stuff you can have on you, you cannot search. You already know he has a phone so no reason to search.
You could of course arrest the person for it and then search him at the jails but if you do that you are really petty, trying to make enemies over friends.

im made thes discussion as there is no other way to talk to other people/org member irl you have wear your AirPods or put the phone on speaker while ig there is 1 way where its the phone and for me as i said before its so stuped to jail someone for having there phone while driving i dont think many country force that law "jail"

im not saying you break the law but im her to discus it ( im asking for alternative to talk to my org member or someone )

If I’m taking to jails and I do 90% of the time unless some fuck shit happens like a raid I do search. I have them under arrest. Call me petty but the law is the law.

If you're being arrested for using your phone whilst driving, I believe the only real alternative would just be pulling over the times that you wish to use your phone

But are you really considering the other player? You do this to get an arrest and hopefully a gun confiscation. In my opinion arresting them for only having a phone out is extremely cringe, a ticket I can understand and work with but a jail sentence is nonsense.
You are just annoying players with this and you know it. This is not the first time someone mentioned this, just the first time someone made a thread about it. Think about the enjoyment of other players as well instead of only your own.

Quite a fair response, Have to agree that it's a Traffic related problem and should just stay that way, it's key to be able to differentiate an actual crime worth being chucked in Prison for and a basic Traffic related issue.
