Server Suggestion Change / Revert advertisements

Literally the reason that people lowkey stopped adverting. Okay he argument is "Bad adverts by /advert!" Then enforce it harder?
I feel like we should revert it 100%

Although more people will create unrealistic adverts (staff members will have a bit more work to do), please bring back the old advert system. It's so annoying to go to the PLN Building every time you want to advert. Massive +1

The change of the system in how you have to make the advert now is pretty nice but I think it lacks some convenience in repeating your advertisements when they run out. We only have two spots that you need to physically visit and refresh your advertisements when you run out of advert slots in your given timespan, I'd say add a phone app but then these two locations become unused and not necessary anymore so I'm not sure what other way there should be to improve it other than to remove the limit altogether.

Of course it would be your own fault if you set a no limit advertisement that loops forever for as long as you are on the server (or terminate the advertisement) so maybe add a disclaimer if this does changes and maybe add a on-screen notification that your advertisement got posted as a reminder to not lose too much money.

The looping advertisements never work for me in general. I didn't even know you could enable them right now as the sliders never change anything.

You need to adjust both sliders. An advert can't repeat 0 times or every 0 minutes.

This is a time of great peace. There has been only 1 Advert blacklist since v6’s release.

With the old system, it was far too easy to blurt out anything at any time. Most players gave zero consideration to 2.9 and would throw up a “???” when their obviously bad advert would get deleted, followed by pushback and needless reports & educating people on what a good advertisement looks like. Even after creating a Help article and linking it after every deletion/blacklist, players just don’t seem interested in moderating themselves in this way.

The new system naturally requires adverts to be deliberate and thought out, you must traverse to the giant megaphone if you wish to shout into it.

There are so many other things for staff to be helping with & enforcing than policing whatever thought or grievance someone has and can blurted out at any moment.
